🍽️ Crispy Chicken with Lemon and Garlic

Ingredients
- 1 chicken (ready for kitchen, approx. 1.4 kg)
- 3 untreated lemons
- 2 garlic bulbs
- 1 tbsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper (from the mill)
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 4 fresh bay leaves
- vegetable oil (for the dish)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Rinse the chicken under cold running water.
- 3. Pat the chicken dry thoroughly with kitchen paper.
- 4. Cut the chicken into eight equal pieces.
- 5. Cut the lemons in half.
- 6. Finely grate the zest of one lemon.
- 7. Cut the garlic bulbs in half crosswise.
- 8. Mix the lemon zest with paprika, pepper, salt, and oil to create a marinade.
- 9. Coat the chicken pieces thoroughly with the marinade.
- 10. Grease a baking dish.
- 11. Place the chicken pieces, lemon halves, garlic halves, and bay leaves into the dish.
- 12. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
- 13. Turn the chicken pieces occasionally during cooking.
- 14. Remove the cooked chicken pieces from the oven.
- 15. Serve the chicken immediately.
