  3. 3. Pat the chicken dry thoroughly with kitchen paper.
  4. 4. Cut the chicken into eight equal pieces.
  5. 5. Cut the lemons in half.
  6. 6. Finely grate the zest of one lemon.
  7. 7. Cut the garlic bulbs in half crosswise.
  8. 8. Mix the lemon zest with paprika, pepper, salt, and oil to create a marinade.
  9. 9. Coat the chicken pieces thoroughly with the marinade.
  10. 10. Grease a baking dish.
  11. 11. Place the chicken pieces, lemon halves, garlic halves, and bay leaves into the dish.
  12. 12. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
  13. 13. Turn the chicken pieces occasionally during cooking.
  14. 14. Remove the cooked chicken pieces from the oven.
  15. 15. Serve the chicken immediately.
