  1. 1. Wash the zucchini thoroughly and cut off the hard ends.
  2. 2. Slice the zucchini into long, thin strips using a vegetable peeler.
  3. 3. Place the zucchini strips in boiling salted water for 3 minutes.
  4. 4. Rinse the zucchini immediately under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  5. 5. Let the zucchini drain well in a colander.
  6. 6. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into quarters.
  7. 7. Dice the tomatoes finely.
  8. 8. Peel the onions and wash them.
  9. 9. Cut off the ends of the onions.
  10. 10. Slice the green part of the onion into fine rings.
  11. 11. Place the zucchini, tomatoes, and onion rings into a large bowl.
  12. 12. Add some olive oil to the ingredients and mix everything lightly.
  13. 13. Whisk vinegar, salt, oil, and pepper in a small bowl to make the marinade.
  14. 14. Pour the marinade over the salad.
  15. 15. Crumble the feta cheese over the salad with your hands.
  16. 16. Pluck the leaves off the basil stems.
  17. 17. Sprinkle the basil leaves over the salad as a final touch.
