  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (convection: 180 degrees, gas: setting 3).
  2. 2. Peel the onion and cut it into thin strips.
  3. 3. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion strips until translucent.
  4. 4. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
  5. 5. Add the chopped garlic to the onions and sauté briefly.
  6. 6. Transfer the onion and garlic mixture along with the remaining olive oil into a baking dish.
  7. 7. Wash the tomatoes and cut them in half.
  8. 8. Use a cookie cutter to cut small balls out of the potatoes.
  9. 9. Rinse the cod and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
  10. 10. Divide the fish into suitable portion pieces.
  11. 11. Season the fish pieces with salt and pepper.
  12. 12. Drizzle the fish with lemon juice.
  13. 13. Place the fish pieces into the prepared baking dish.
  14. 14. Add the potato balls, the halved tomatoes, and the olives to the dish.
  15. 15. Pour vegetable broth and white wine vinegar over the vegetables.
  16. 16. Cover the baking dish.
  17. 17. Place the dish in the oven and bake the fish for about 20 minutes.
  18. 18. Divide the broccoli into small florets.
  19. 19. Boil the broccoli florets for 5 minutes in boiling salted water (this is called blanching).
  20. 20. Lift the broccoli out of the water and arrange it on top of the finished fish.
