  4. 4. Then pour the oil in a thin, steady stream.
  5. 5. Keep stirring constantly until the oil is fully absorbed by the egg yolk mixture.
  6. 6. Continue until a thick, creamy mayonnaise has formed.
  7. 7. Finally, season the mayonnaise to taste with salt, pepper, and a little lemon juice.
