🍽️ Matjes with Egg

Ingredients
- 8 Matjes fillets
- 0.25 l milk
- 1 onion
- 4 hard-boiled eggs
- 150 g sour cream
- 2 tbsp whipping cream
- 1 tsp curry
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp capers
- salt
- pepper
- 0.5 tsp sugar
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the matjes under cold water.
- 2. Place the matjes in a bowl of milk for 1 hour.
- 3. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes.
- 4. Hard-boil the eggs, peel them, and slice them.
- 5. Mix the sour cream, the cream, and the curry powder in a bowl.
- 6. Season the sauce with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- 7. Take the matjes out of the milk and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
- 8. Cut the matjes into bite-sized pieces.
- 9. Mix the matjes with the onion cubes, the egg slices, and the capers.
- 10. Pour the curry sauce over the mixture.
