  1. 1. Break the chocolate pieces into two separate small bowls.
  2. 2. Heat half of the cream in a pot until it boils.
  3. 3. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate in one of the bowls.
  4. 4. Stir the mixture vigorously until the chocolate has completely melted.
  5. 5. Let the melted chocolate mixture cool down for about 3 hours.
  6. 6. Melt the butter in a small pot or in the microwave.
  7. 7. Let the melted butter cool down briefly until it is lukewarm.
  8. 8. Slowly stir the cooled dark chocolate mixture into the remaining chocolate cream.
  9. 9. Add some rum and mix it well into the cream.
  10. 10. Whip the remaining cold cream stiffly using a mixer.
  11. 11. Gently fold half of the stiffly whipped cream into the chocolate cream.
  12. 12. Keep the remaining half of the whipped cream in the refrigerator for decoration.
  13. 13. Finely chop the chestnuts (sweet chestnuts) with a knife.
  14. 14. Take one-third of the remaining cream and puree it together with the chestnuts until smooth.
  15. 15. Stir the sugar and cinnamon into the chestnut puree mixture.
  16. 16. Whip the remaining cream stiffly again if it has become soft.
  17. 17. Fold the stiffly whipped cream into the chestnut mixture.
  18. 18. Keep both creams cool until you are ready to serve them.
  19. 19. Mix all ingredients for the mascarpone cream in a separate bowl.
  20. 20. Keep the mascarpone cream cool as well.
  21. 21. Layer the different creams alternately into four glasses.
  22. 22. Decorate the desserts on top with a dollop of the reserved whipped cream.
  23. 23. Sprinkle pieces of dried apricots over them as desired.
