🍰 Homemade Marzipan Truffles

Ingredients
- Marzipan
- 20 ml almond liqueur
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 90 g peeled almond kernels
- 200 g dark chocolate coating
Instructions
- 1. Place the marzipan, liqueur, and lemon zest into a bowl.
- 2. Mash the ingredients together with a fork until smooth.
- 3. Finely chop the almonds.
- 4. Stir the chopped almonds thoroughly into the marzipan mixture.
- 5. Roll the mixture into small balls the size of walnuts.
- 6. Place the balls in the refrigerator for a while to firm up.
- 7. Chop the chocolate coating into small pieces.
- 8. Melt the chocolate over a hot water bath.
- 9. Dip each marzipan ball one by one into the melted chocolate.
- 10. Place the coated balls onto a tray lined with baking paper.
- 11. Immediately place a thin almond slice on top of each still-wet truffle.
- 12. Let the truffles air dry until the chocolate is hard.
