Ingredients
- 200 g Marzipan base
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 0.5 tsp grated orange peel
- 0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp orange liqueur
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp grated orange peel
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange liqueur
- candied oranges
Instructions
- 1. Knead the marzipan base with powdered sugar, orange zest, spices, and liqueur until smooth.
- 2. Place the dough between two sheets of cling film and roll it out to a thickness of about 1 centimeter.
- 3. Cut heart shapes from the dough and place them on a rack to dry.
- 4. Whisk powdered sugar with orange zest, orange juice, and liqueur to make a thick glaze.
- 5. Coat the marzipan hearts completely with the glaze.
- 6. Cut small hearts or stars from candied oranges and place them on the wet glaze.
- 7. Let the sweets dry completely for at least 5 hours.
