🍰 Marzipan-Stuffed Apples

Ingredients
- 4 Apples
- 150 g Marzipan paste
- 3 tbsp Apricot brandy
- 1 tbsp Apricot jam
- 2 tbsp chopped almond kernels
- 4 Almond kernels
- 1 Egg white
- 1 Packung Vanilla sugar
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the apples under running water.
- 2. Dry the apples with a clean cloth.
- 3. Use a corer to remove the seeds and core from the apples.
- 4. Knead the marzipan with the apricot brandy until smooth.
- 5. Stir the apricot jam into the marzipan mixture.
- 6. Fold the chopped almonds into the mixture.
- 7. Fill three quarters of the marzipan mixture into the hollowed-out apples.
- 8. Lightly grease a baking dish with butter.
- 9. Place the stuffed apples into the prepared dish.
- 10. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius.
- 11. Bake the apples for 25 minutes in the hot oven.
- 12. Beat the egg whites with the vanilla sugar until stiff.
- 13. Gently fold the egg whites into the remaining marzipan mixture.
- 14. Fill the finished mixture into a piping bag.
- 15. Pipe peaks from the mixture onto the apples ten minutes before the end of the baking time.
- 16. Sprinkle the apples with additional almond pieces.
- 17. Finish baking the apples until the peaks are golden brown.
- 18. Serve the warm apples immediately.
