🍽️ Sweet and Sour Cherry Tomato Jam

Ingredients
- 750 g tomatoes
- 2 lemons
- 500 g sugar
- 3 pinches salt
- 60 ml white wine vinegar
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Halve the tomatoes and remove the hard stem attachment.
- 3. Dice the deseeded tomatoes into small cubes.
- 4. Peel the lemons and remove the white bitter pith.
- 5. Dice the lemon flesh into small cubes as well.
- 6. Place the tomato cubes, lemon cubes, sugar, salt, and vinegar into a large pot.
- 7. Heat the mixture until it comes to a full boil.
- 8. Reduce the heat to a low setting.
- 9. Let the jam simmer for about 45 minutes.
- 10. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
- 11. Fill the hot jam immediately into prepared, sterile jars.
- 12. Seal the jars tightly with the lids.
- 13. Turn the jars upside down for a short moment.
- 14. Allow the jars to cool down slightly while inverted.
- 15. Turn the jars back to their upright position.
- 16. Let the jam cool down completely inside the jars.
