🍽️ Wok Beef with Pineapple

Ingredients
- 5 large slices pineapple (fresh or canned)
- 700 g beef (from the round)
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp mild wine vinegar
- 10 tbsp pineapple juice
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 stalks leek
- 1 red chili pepper
Instructions
- 1. Peel the pineapple and cut off five thick slices.
- 2. Remove the hard core from the center of the slices.
- 3. Cut the remaining pineapple pieces into small bites.
- 4. Wash the meat and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
- 5. Cut the meat into thin strips.
- 6. Mix salt, flour, pepper, vinegar, soy sauce, and pineapple juice in a bowl.
- 7. Place the meat in the marinade and toss it well.
- 8. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for one hour.
- 9. Slice the chili peppers into thin rings.
- 10. Slice the leek into thin rounds.
- 11. Heat the oil in a frying pan or wok.
- 12. Add the marinated meat to the hot pan.
- 13. Pour the remaining marinade liquid over the meat.
- 14. Add the chili rings and the leek.
- 15. Cover the pan with a lid.
- 16. Simmer the meat over medium heat.
- 17. Stir the dish well.
- 18. Add the pineapple pieces.
- 19. Let the dish simmer for another five minutes over medium heat.
- 20. Keep the lid off during this time.
- 21. Stir the dish occasionally.
- 22. Serve the finished dish with white rice.
