🍽️ Chicken Breast in Spicy Marinade

Ingredients
- 200 g onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 40 g ginger
- 2 red chili peppers
- 1 carrot
- 1 stalk leek
- 250 g yellow bell peppers (1 yellow bell pepper)
- 6 allspice berries
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tbsp oil
- 300 ml white wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- salt
- pepper
- 700 g chicken breast fillets (4 chicken breast fillets)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and cut them into rings.
- 2. Peel the garlic and the ginger.
- 3. Cut the garlic and the ginger into thin slices.
- 4. Halve the chili peppers and remove the inside.
- 5. Peel the carrot.
- 6. Clean the leek and wash it.
- 7. Halve the bell pepper and remove the inside.
- 8. Wash the bell pepper.
- 9. Cut the bell pepper into long strips.
- 10. Cut the carrot into long strips.
- 11. Cut the leek into long strips.
- 12. Cut the chili peppers into long strips.
- 13. Coarsely crush the allspice berries in a mortar.
- 14. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 15. Add the allspice berries, the garlic, the bay leaves and the onion rings to the pan.
- 16. Sauté the ingredients over low heat for 5 minutes.
- 17. Wait until the onions are translucent.
- 18. Add the bell pepper, the carrot, the leek, the chili peppers and the ginger to the pan.
- 19. Sauté the ingredients briefly.
- 20. Add the vinegar to the pan.
- 21. Add the sugar to the pan.
- 22. Add 750 ml of water to the pan.
- 23. Let the liquid boil for 5 minutes.
- 24. Season the marinade with salt and pepper.
- 25. Place the chicken breast fillets in the boiling marinade.
- 26. Cover the pan.
- 27. Cook the chicken breast fillets over low heat for 6 minutes.
- 28. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 29. Place the chicken breast fillets in a bowl.
- 30. Pour the marinade over the chicken breast fillets.
- 31. Make sure the marinade completely covers the chicken breast fillets.
- 32. Let the chicken breast fillets cool down.
- 33. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
- 34. Marinate the chicken breast fillets in the refrigerator for 1 day.
- 35. Remove the chicken breast fillets from the refrigerator 40 minutes before serving.
