Ingredients
- 1 tsp herbs de Provence (dried)
- 1 fresh red chili pepper
- lemons (juice)
- 1 tbsp red peppercorns
- 3 garlic cloves
- 6 small French fresh goat cheese (or 1 goat cheese log, in thick slices)
- 3 bay leaves
- 0.5 l olive oil
- salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 2. Thoroughly wash the chili pepper.
- 3. Remove the seeds and the inside of the chili pepper.
- 4. Cut the deseeded chili pepper into small pieces.
- 5. Place the goat cheese in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
- 6. Add the peeled garlic cloves to the jar.
- 7. Distribute the fresh herbs in the jar between the cheese pieces.
- 8. Add the chopped chili pieces to the jar.
- 9. Sprinkle the pepper over the ingredients.
- 10. Place the bay leaves in the jar.
- 11. Mix the lemon juice with the olive oil in a small bowl.
- 12. Pour the oil-lemon mixture over the cheese in the jar.
- 13. Seal the jar tightly.
- 14. Let the marinade infuse for about 10 days in a cool place.
