🍽️ Grilled beef steaks with marinated cauliflower

Ingredients
- 1 organic lemon
- 1 onion
- 800 g small cauliflower (1 small cauliflower)
- salt
- 3 tbsp medium-hot mustard
- pepper
- 5 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 500 g small pork steaks (minute steaks; 10 small pork steaks)
- 250 g whole grain baguette (1 whole grain baguette)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the lemon thoroughly.
- 2. Peel the lemon skin in a long, thin strip using a vegetable peeler.
- 3. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 4. Peel the onion.
- 5. Cut the onion into very small cubes.
- 6. Remove the hard core at the bottom of the cauliflower.
- 7. Cut deeply into the core to separate the florets more easily.
- 8. Rinse the cauliflower under running water.
- 9. Place the cauliflower in a pot.
- 10. Pour in 350 milliliters of water.
- 11. Add a pinch of salt and the lemon peel to the water.
- 12. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
- 13. Cook the cauliflower for about 15 minutes until it is tender but still firm to the bite.
- 14. Lift the cauliflower out of the pot using a slotted spoon.
- 15. Place the cauliflower in a large bowl.
- 16. Remove the pot with the cooking water from the heat.
- 17. Add the fresh lemon juice to the cooking water.
- 18. Stir 2 tablespoons of mustard into the liquid.
- 19. Season the marinade with salt and pepper to taste.
- 20. Add the onion cubes to the marinade.
- 21. Pour 3 tablespoons of oil into the mixture.
- 22. Stir everything well to combine the ingredients.
- 23. Pour the marinade evenly over the cauliflower.
- 24. Let the cauliflower marinate for at least 1 hour.
- 25. Pour fresh marinade over the cauliflower repeatedly during the marinating time.
- 26. Take the remaining mustard and the leftover oil.
- 27. Mix these ingredients in a small bowl.
- 28. Add some ketchup to the mustard-oil mixture.
- 29. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 30. Rinse the minute steaks under cold water.
- 31. Pat the steaks dry with kitchen paper.
- 32. Coat the steaks thoroughly with the mustard-oil sauce.
- 33. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- 34. Place the coated steaks on the tray.
- 35. Preheat the oven with the grill function.
- 36. Grill the steaks under the hot grill for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
- 37. Take the marinated cauliflower out of the bowl.
- 38. Place the cauliflower on a serving plate.
- 39. Cut the baguette into thick slices.
- 40. Serve the baguette together with the grilled steaks and the cauliflower.
