🍽️ Quick Marinated Shallots

Ingredients
- 300 g shallots
- olive oil
- balsamic vinegar
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the shallots and remove the outer layers.
- 2. Heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan.
- 3. Add the shallots to the hot pan.
- 4. Cover the pan with a lid.
- 5. Sauté the shallots over medium heat for 8 minutes.
- 6. Stir the shallots frequently while they cook.
- 7. Make sure the shallots do not turn too brown.
- 8. Remove the shallots from the pan and place them in a bowl.
- 9. Mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of water, and 3 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar in a small bowl.
- 10. Season the marinade with salt and pepper to taste.
- 11. Pour the marinade over the shallots in the bowl.
- 12. Let the shallots marinate for 2 hours.
- 13. Add more pepper to the shallots just before serving.
- 14. Serve the marinated shallots cold as a small appetizer.
