🍽️ Yogurt-Marinated Veal Skewers with Mango & Pineapple

Ingredients
- 200 g red onions (3 red onions)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 25 g ginger (1 piece)
- 250 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 3 tsp curry powder
- cayenne pepper
- salt
- 600 g veal cutlets (from the top round)
- 1 mango
- 0.5 pineapple
Instructions
- 1. Peel one onion, one clove of garlic, and a piece of ginger.
- 2. Dice the vegetables into small cubes.
- 3. Place the cubes into a bowl.
- 4. Add yogurt, honey, lime juice, curry powder, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- 5. Blend the ingredients into a smooth marinade using a hand blender.
- 6. Rinse the veal cutlets under cold water.
- 7. Pat the meat dry with a kitchen towel.
- 8. Cut the meat into 2 cm thick strips.
- 9. Cut the strips into 4 cm long pieces.
- 10. Add the meat pieces to the marinade.
- 11. Let the meat marinate for 6 to 8 hours.
- 12. Ideally, let the skewers marinate overnight.
- 13. Peel the remaining onions.
- 14. Halve the onions.
- 15. Peel the mango.
- 16. Slice the flesh into 2 cm thick slices away from the pit.
- 17. Dice the mango slices.
- 18. Peel the pineapple.
- 19. Remove the hard core from the center.
- 20. Slice the fruit into 2 cm thick slices.
- 21. Dice the pineapple slices.
- 22. Remove the meat from the marinade.
- 23. Thread the meat, onion halves, and mango and pineapple cubes alternately onto 8 skewers.
- 24. Preheat your grill.
- 25. Grill the skewers for 12 to 15 minutes on the hot grill.
- 26. Turn the skewers several times during cooking.
