  1. 1. Rinse the chicken meat under cold water.
  2. 2. Pat the meat completely dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Cut the meat into thin strips.
  4. 4. Peel the garlic cloves.
  5. 5. Mince the garlic very finely.
  6. 6. Whisk all other marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  7. 7. Stir the minced garlic into the marinade.
  8. 8. Place the meat strips into the marinade.
  9. 9. Let the meat marinate for 2 hours.
  10. 10. Roast the peanuts in a pan without fat.
  11. 11. Let the roasted peanuts cool down completely.
  12. 12. Crush the cooled peanuts finely in a mortar.
  13. 13. Put the coconut milk, peanut butter, and curry into a pot.
  14. 14. Bring the mixture to a boil in the pot.
  15. 15. Stir the crushed peanuts into the boiling sauce.
  16. 16. Season the sauce with lemon juice and sugar.
  17. 17. Simmer the sauce briefly if needed until it thickens.
  18. 18. Add a little water if the sauce is too thick.
  19. 19. Fill the finished sauce into small bowls.
  20. 20. Sprinkle the sauce with chopped peanuts.
  21. 21. Drain the marinade from the meat.
  22. 22. Thread the meat strips onto wooden skewers in a wavy pattern.
  23. 23. Place the skewers on a grill rack.
  24. 24. Preheat the grill.
  25. 25. Grill the skewers for approx. 10 minutes on the hot grill.
  26. 26. Turn the skewers occasionally while grilling.
  27. 27. Brush the skewers repeatedly with the marinade in between.
  28. 28. Serve the grilled skewers with the peanut sauce.
