🍽️ Marinated Green Olives

Ingredients
- 350 g green olives (with stone)
- 1 small red chili pepper
- 1 red onion
- 1 bulb fennel
- 0.5 bunch basil
- 1 orange
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Lightly press the olives or make small cuts in them with a small knife.
- 2. Place the prepared olives into a bowl.
- 3. Cut the chili pepper in half lengthwise.
- 4. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper.
- 5. Rinse the deseeded chili pepper.
- 6. Finely chop the chili pepper.
- 7. Peel the onion.
- 8. Slice the onion into very thin rings.
- 9. Wash the fennel.
- 10. Cut out the hard base of the fennel in a wedge shape.
- 11. Cut the fennel bulb into small cubes.
- 12. Wash the basil.
- 13. Shake the basil dry.
- 14. Pluck the basil leaves off the stems.
- 15. Roughly chop the basil leaves.
- 16. Add all prepared ingredients to the olives in the bowl.
- 17. Cut the orange in half.
- 18. Squeeze the juice from the orange.
- 19. Add three tablespoons of orange juice to the olives.
- 20. Add olive oil to the olives.
- 21. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 22. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- 23. Cover the bowl.
- 24. Place the bowl in the refrigerator.
- 25. Let the olives marinate for 24 to 36 hours.
