  5. 5. Add the onions and apple to the pot and sauté them briefly.
  6. 6. Stir the honey into the onions and apple.
  7. 7. Deglaze the mixture with the beer.
  8. 8. Stir the mustard into the sauce.
  9. 9. Let the marinade simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes until it thickens.
  10. 10. Puree the marinade smoothly with a blender.
  11. 11. Season the marinade with vinegar, salt, and pepper to taste.
  12. 12. Let the marinade cool down completely.
