  1. 1. Wash the fruit thoroughly.
  2. 2. Remove the pits from the fruit.
  3. 3. Chop the fruit into small pieces.
  4. 4. Rinse the orange under hot water.
  5. 5. Dry the orange.
  6. 6. Peel the orange, but avoid taking any of the white pith as it is bitter.
  7. 7. Cut the orange peel into very fine strips.
  8. 8. Squeeze the juice from the orange.
  9. 9. Place the fruit, orange peel, orange juice, jam sugar, and citric acid into a pot.
  10. 10. Stir the ingredients well.
  11. 11. Let the mixture steep for one hour.
  12. 12. Place the pot over high heat.
  13. 13. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly.
  14. 14. Let the jam bubble vigorously for at least three minutes.
  15. 15. Fill the hot jam to the brim into clean jars.
  16. 16. Seal the jars immediately.
  17. 17. Place the jars upside down on their lids for about 15 minutes.
  18. 18. Turn the jars right side up and let them cool down completely.
