🍽️ Sweet and Sour Mango Date Chutney with Cinnamon

Ingredients
- 2 mangoes (ripe)
- 1 onion
- 100 g dried, pitted dates
- 100 g brown sugar
- 100 ml white balsamic vinegar
- 3 tbsp sherry
- 1 piece chopped ginger
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 tbsp water
Instructions
- 1. Peel the mangoes.
- 2. Cut the flesh away from the pit.
- 3. Cut the mango slices into small cubes.
- 4. Dice the onion finely.
- 5. Chop the dates finely.
- 6. Place the mango cubes, onions, and dates into a pot.
- 7. Add the sugar.
- 8. Pour in the balsamic vinegar.
- 9. Add the sherry to the pot.
- 10. Peel the ginger.
- 11. Grate the ginger finely.
- 12. Add the grated ginger to the pot.
- 13. Place the cinnamon stick into the mixture.
- 14. Pour the water into the pot.
- 15. Let the mixture simmer over low heat.
- 16. Simmer the chutney for 40 minutes.
