  1. 1. Dice the mango flesh into very small cubes.
  2. 2. Place the chopped almonds and sesame seeds in a non-stick pan without oil.
  3. 3. Roast the nuts and seeds over medium heat until they are light brown and fragrant.
  4. 4. Remove the roasted almonds and sesame seeds from the pan and add them to a large mixing bowl.
  5. 5. Add the ground almonds and oat flakes to the bowl.
  6. 6. Add the finely diced mango to the bowl.
  7. 7. Mix all the dry and fresh ingredients in the bowl thoroughly.
  8. 8. Melt the butter in a clean pan on the stove.
  9. 9. Add the sugar, honey, and orange juice to the melting butter.
  10. 10. Stir the mixture constantly until it comes to a boil.
  11. 11. Let the sweet sauce simmer for two minutes over medium heat.
  12. 12. The sauce should now look liquid and golden yellow.
  13. 13. Remove the pan from the heat.
  14. 14. Pour the hot sauce over the mango-almond mixture in the bowl.
  15. 15. Stir everything vigorously until the mixture is uniform.
  16. 16. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  17. 17. Place the mixture onto the baking paper.
  18. 18. Cover the mixture with a second layer of cling film.
  19. 19. Press the mixture flat and roll it out to a thickness of about 1.5 centimeters.
  20. 20. Carefully remove the top layer of film.
  21. 21. Let the mango-almond slab cool down for about 20 minutes.
  22. 22. Cut the cooled slab into about 30 small squares.
  23. 23. Place the bars on a clean cutting board.
  24. 24. Let the bars dry overnight to firm up.
