  2. 2. Stir in the flour, ground almonds, egg yolk, and Amaretto liqueur into the butter mixture.
  3. 3. Knead the ingredients together by hand to form a soft dough.
  4. 4. Wrap the dough tightly in plastic wrap.
  5. 5. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to let it firm up.
  6. 6. Take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls with a diameter of about 2 centimeters.
  7. 7. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  8. 8. Press the balls down slightly.
  9. 9. Press a few peeled and chopped almonds into each cookie.
  10. 10. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  11. 11. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
