🍽️ Crunchy Almond Macaroons

Ingredients
- 3 egg whites
- 280 g powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp sour cherry syrup
- 350 g ground almond kernels (without shell)
- red food coloring
- 50 baking wafers (4 cm ⌀)
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1. Whisk the egg whites together with the powdered sugar until stiff. Gently fold in the syrup, almonds, and food coloring. Place the rice paper wrappers side by side on a baking sheet.
- 2. Place small mounds on the wrappers using a teaspoon. Let the macaroons dry in the air for 2 to 3 hours. Bake them in a preheated oven at 140 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes. Let them cool down and then dust them with a little powdered sugar.
