  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
  2. 2. Grease a springform pan generously with butter.
  3. 3. Sprinkle a few breadcrumbs or dry breadcrumbs inside so the cake does not stick later.
  4. 4. Beat the butter together with 250 grams of sugar in a bowl until creamy and light.
  5. 5. Stir in a pinch of salt, the juice of one orange, and the grated zest of the orange.
  6. 6. Add the eggs one by one.
  7. 7. Mix each egg well before adding the next.
  8. 8. Mix the flour with the baking powder and 200 grams of ground almonds in a separate bowl.
  9. 9. Now add the flour mixture and the milk alternately to the butter-egg mixture.
  10. 10. Stir everything until smooth until you have a soft, thick batter.
  11. 11. Fill the batter into the prepared pan.
  12. 12. Smooth the surface.
  13. 13. Bake the cake for about 60 minutes.

  16. 16. Bring the juice together with cinnamon, a splash of liqueur, and sugar to a boil in a saucepan.

  18. 18. Then strain it through a fine sieve to remove any particles
  19. 19. and let it cool completely.
  20. 20. Carefully release the cake from the pan.

  22. 22. and serve it in small bowls together with the cooled sauce.
