  1. 1. Heat a large pan without oil or butter.
  2. 2. Roast the almond sticks in it over medium heat until they are light brown and smell fragrant.
  3. 3. Remove the almonds from the pan and let them cool down completely.
  4. 4. Wash the orange under hot water and dry it well.
  5. 5. Grate the orange peel finely.
  6. 6. Mince the ginger as finely as possible.
  7. 7. Chop the chocolate into coarse pieces.
  8. 8. Melt the chocolate over a bowl of hot water (bain-marie).
  9. 9. Stir the cooled almonds, orange peel, and ginger into the melted chocolate.
  10. 10. Dip two small spoons briefly into cold water.
  11. 11. Use the spoons to take small portions of the almond-chocolate mixture.
  12. 12. Place each portion into a chocolate cup (a small paper mold).
  13. 13. Place the finished treats in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours until they are firm.
