🍰 Cherry Almond Cheese Dough Cake

Ingredients
- 300 g flour
- 30 g yeast (fresh)
- 60 g sugar
- 100 ml milk (lukewarm)
- 1 egg
- 75 g margarine (for baking)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 knife tip orange zest
- flour (for working)
- 300 g sliced almonds
- 30 g sugar
- 400 g whipping cream
- 100 g pitted cherries
- 1 kg low-fat quark
- 500 g mascarpone
- 300 g sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 pack pudding powder (vanilla, for cooking/baking)
Instructions
- 1. Put all the ingredients for the dough into a bowl.
- 2. Use the dough hooks of your hand mixer to knead them into a smooth dough.
- 3. Cover the bowl.
- 4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 50 minutes.
- 5. Wait until the dough has doubled in size.
- 6. Put sugar, almonds, and cream into a pot.
- 7. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 8. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 9. Chop the cherries finely.
- 10. Stir the cherries into the warm almond mixture.
- 11. Whisk all the ingredients for the cream in a bowl until smooth.
- 12. Dust a work surface with flour.
- 13. Roll out the dough on the floured surface.
- 14. Make sure the dough fits the size of your baking sheet.
- 15. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- 16. Place the dough on the prepared baking sheet.
- 17. Spread the quark mixture evenly over the dough.
- 18. Distribute the almond-cherry mixture on top.
- 19. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
- 20. Bake the cake for about 70 minutes.
- 21. Cover the cake with aluminum foil if necessary.
- 22. Prevent the cake from browning too much.
- 23. Let the cake cool down completely.
- 24. Cut the cake into pieces.
- 25. Serve the cake with coffee.
