🍽️ Crunchy Bars with Almonds and Oats

Ingredients
- 200 g Dried Fruit (e.g. Cherries and Apricots)
- 50 g Raisins
- 50 g Sliced Almonds
- 250 g Fine Oat Flakes
- 100 g Coarse Oat Flakes
- 100 g Coarse Spelt Flakes
- 200 g Brown Cane Sugar
- 50 g Sugar Beet Syrup
- 325 g Butter
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Finely chop the dried fruits.
- 3. Add the chopped dried fruits, raisins, almonds, oat flakes, spelt flakes, and cane sugar to a large bowl.
- 4. Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly together.
- 5. Place the beet syrup and butter in a small saucepan.
- 6. Slowly heat the mixture in the saucepan while stirring until everything is combined.
- 7. Pour the warm syrup and butter mixture over the muesli mixture in the bowl.
- 8. Stir everything well so that the dried fruits and nuts are evenly coated with the mixture.
- 9. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 10. Spread the mixture evenly on the tray.
- 11. Press the layer to a thickness of about 1 centimeter.
- 12. Place the tray in the preheated oven.
- 13. Bake the bars for 20 to 25 minutes until they are lightly golden brown.
- 14. Remove the tray from the oven.
- 15. Cut the baked mass into strips about 5 centimeters wide and 10 centimeters long.
- 16. Place the bars on a wire cooling rack.
- 17. Let the bars cool down completely.
