🍽️ Spicy Mackerel with Lemon-Garlic Marinade

Ingredients
- 4 mackerel fillets (approx. 200 g each)
- sea salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp flour
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 chili pepper
- 6 bay leaves
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the mackerel fillets under cold water.
- 2. Pat the fillets completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Season the fillets on both sides with salt and pepper.
- 4. Coat the fillets lightly in flour.
- 5. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan.
- 6. Fry the fillets for 3 to 4 minutes on the skin side until golden brown.
- 7. Turn the fillets over once.
- 8. Remove the pan from the heat, cover it, and let the fish finish cooking.
- 9. Place the cooked fillets side by side on a serving plate.
- 10. Warm the remaining olive oil in a small saucepan.
- 11. Stir the lemon juice into the warm oil.
- 12. Add the chopped garlic.
- 13. Slice the chili pepper into thin rings and add them.
- 14. Add the bay leaves to the marinade.
- 15. Pour the warm marinade evenly over the mackerel fillets.
- 16. Let the fillets marinate for at least 3 hours before serving.
