🍽️ Pan-fried Mackerel with Garlic

Ingredients
- 2 small mackerel (á approx. 500 g)
- lemons
- 1 fresh garlic bulb
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the mackerel under cold water.
- 2. Pat the fish completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Season the meat inside and out with salt and pepper.
- 4. Drizzle the fish with some lemon juice.
- 5. Let the fish sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
- 6. Separate the garlic bulb into individual cloves.
- 7. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 8. Slice the peeled cloves into thin pieces.
- 9. Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- 10. Fry the mackerel on both sides for about five minutes each until golden brown.
- 11. Turn the fish once.
- 12. Add the garlic slices.
- 13. Cook everything together briefly at the end until the parsley is heated through.
- 14. Serve the dish with baguette, half a lemon, and a dry white wine.
