Ingredients
- 75 g corn flour
- 50 g wheat flour
- 200 ml milk
- 2 eggs
- salt
- cayenne pepper
- 250 g corn kernels (can or frozen)
- 1 spring onion
- oil (for frying)
- sage leaf
Instructions
- 1. Mix both types of flour with the milk until smooth.
- 2. Stir the eggs into the mixture.
- 3. Season the batter with salt and cayenne pepper.
- 4. Adjust the consistency: Add more or less milk if needed so the batter is not too runny.
- 5. Drain the corn kernels well or thaw them completely.
- 6. Wash the spring onions and trim off the tough ends.
- 7. Finely chop the spring onions.
- 8. Heat oil in a pan until hot.
- 9. Add the drained corn kernels and chopped spring onions to the batter and mix everything together.
- 10. Place about one tablespoon of batter into the hot pan to form a small patty.
- 11. Fry the patty for about two minutes until golden brown.
- 12. Flip the patty.
- 13. Cook the other side for another two minutes.
- 14. Fry the sage leaves briefly in the hot oil.
- 15. Let the fried sage leaf drain on a paper towel.
- 16. Garnish the finished patties with the sage leaf and serve.
