  1. 1. Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer until creamy.
  2. 2. Stir the eggs into the butter-sugar mixture.
  3. 3. Add the flour, salt, and rose water.
  4. 4. Mix everything into a smooth batter.
  5. 5. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  7. 7. Lightly grease the small madeleine molds (approx. 5 cm) with butter.
  8. 8. Press a thin layer of the batter into the prepared molds.
  9. 9. Place the molds on a baking rack.
  10. 10. Bake the madeleines in the preheated oven in the center for approx. 15 minutes.
  11. 11. Take the molds out of the oven.
  12. 12. Let the cakes cool down for a short while.
  13. 13. Carefully release the madeleines from the molds.
  14. 14. Place them on a cake rack to cool completely.
  15. 15. Dust the finished madeleines with powdered sugar before serving.
