  3. 3. Sprinkle in the turmeric powder and cumin powder.
  4. 4. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.
  5. 5. Check the consistency and add a little more water if necessary.
  6. 6. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes briefly.
  7. 7. Shock the tomatoes in cold water to loosen the skin.
  8. 8. Peel the tomatoes and cut them into eighths.
  9. 9. Remove the seeds from the tomato pieces.
  10. 10. Mash the cooked beans and lentils slightly with a fork.
