  5. 5. Let the mixture infuse for 12 days.
  6. 6. Filter the liquid through a cloth.
  7. 7. Squeeze the remaining liquid out of the peels.
  8. 8. Boil the sugar with 1 liter of water.
  9. 9. Let the syrup simmer quietly for about 10 minutes.
  10. 10. Mix the alcohol with the syrup.
  11. 11. Pour the liqueur into a bottle.
  12. 12. Garnish the liqueur with a lemon peel if desired.
  13. 13. Seal the bottle well.
