🍽️ Lime Buttermilk Ice Cream

Ingredients
- 500 ml buttermilk
- 150 g double cream
- 2 limes (juice)
- 4 tbsp powdered sugar
- lime slice
- lemon balm
Instructions
- 1. Pour the buttermilk into a large bowl.
- 2. Add the double cream, lime juice, and powdered sugar.
- 3. Whisk the ingredients vigorously until well combined.
- 4. Choose one of the two freezing methods.
- 5. If you have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture in and churn until it becomes ice cream.
- 6. Alternatively, pour the mixture into a metal bowl.
- 7. Place the bowl in the freezer compartment.
- 8. Let the ice cream freeze for 3 to 4 hours.
- 9. Stir the mixture once every hour.
- 10. Regular stirring ensures a smooth texture.
- 11. Take the finished ice cream out of the freezer.
- 12. Scoop small balls (quenelles) using an ice cream scoop.
- 13. Place the ice cream balls onto dessert plates.
- 14. Garnish the ice cream with fresh lime slices.
- 15. Add lemon balm as a decoration.
- 16. Serve the ice cream immediately.
