Ingredients
- 1 beef tenderloin steak (approx. 150 g)
- 4 spring onions
- olive oil
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tbsp finely chopped thyme leaves
- 1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
Instructions
- 1. Rub the steak with pepper, thyme, garlic, and one tablespoon of olive oil. Let the spices marinate overnight.
- 2. Wash and clean the spring onions, but do not cut off the green tops completely. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and fry the onions in it until golden brown, turning them frequently. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3. Remove the onions from the pan and arrange them on a plate. Fry the steak in the hot pan for two to four minutes on each side (depending on whether you prefer it bloody, pink, or well-done). Season with salt, cut it into thick slices, and place it on top of the onions. Serve immediately.
