  1. 1. Put flour, powdered sugar, water, and small cubes of butter into a bowl.
  2. 2. Knead the ingredients quickly into a smooth dough.
  3. 3. Shape the dough into a ball.
  4. 4. Wrap the dough ball in plastic wrap.
  5. 5. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  7. 7. Roll out the dough between two layers of plastic wrap.
  8. 8. Grease the pie dish.
  9. 9. Place the rolled-out dough into the dish.
  10. 10. Prick the dough base several times with a fork.
  11. 11. Cut baking paper to fit the size of the dish.
  12. 12. Place the baking paper on the dough.
  13. 13. Cover the paper generously with legumes as baking weights.
  14. 14. Bake the base in the preheated oven on the lower rack for approx. 15 minutes.
  15. 15. Remove the base from the oven.
  16. 16. Remove the legumes and the baking paper.
  17. 17. Bake the base for another 10 minutes.
  18. 18. Let the base cool down a bit.
  19. 19. Put the egg yolks in a bowl.
  20. 20. Whip the egg yolks thickly with the condensed milk.
  21. 21. Wash the limes thoroughly with hot water.
  22. 22. Dry the limes.
