  4. 4. Remove the onions from the pan and set them aside.
  5. 5. Fry the liver in the remaining fat for 10 minutes over medium heat.
  6. 6. Remove the liver from the pan.
  7. 7. Grind the liver, the sautéed onions, and the yolks of the hard-boiled eggs through a meat grinder.
  8. 8. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  9. 9. Let the liver pâté cool down completely.
  10. 10. Cut the bread slices into triangles.
  11. 11. Spread the cold liver pâté onto the bread triangles.
  12. 12. Place the topped bread slices on lettuce leaves.
  13. 13. Garnish the pâté with onion rings, tomato slices, and fresh parsley.
  14. 14. Serve the appetizer.
