🍽️ Liver Pâté on Bread

Ingredients
- 500 g chicken liver
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 onions
- 3 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 5 slices rye bread (or dark bread)
- lettuce leaves
- onion ring
- tomato slice
- chopped parsley
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and chop them very finely.
- 2. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 3. Sauté the onions in the hot oil until they are soft and translucent.
- 4. Remove the onions from the pan and set them aside.
- 5. Fry the liver in the remaining fat for 10 minutes over medium heat.
- 6. Remove the liver from the pan.
- 7. Grind the liver, the sautéed onions, and the yolks of the hard-boiled eggs through a meat grinder.
- 8. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 9. Let the liver pâté cool down completely.
- 10. Cut the bread slices into triangles.
- 11. Spread the cold liver pâté onto the bread triangles.
- 12. Place the topped bread slices on lettuce leaves.
- 13. Garnish the pâté with onion rings, tomato slices, and fresh parsley.
- 14. Serve the appetizer.
