Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 150 g leek (cut into fine rings)
- 80 g grated cheese (e.g. Gruyère)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 0.5 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
- 50 ml vegetable oil
- 4 tbsp whipping cream
- 300 g buttermilk
- 12 tsp grated cheese (e.g. Gruyère)

Instructions
- 1. Mix the flour with salt, pepper, leek, cheese, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.
- 2. Lightly beat the egg in a large bowl. Add the vegetable oil, cream, and buttermilk and stir everything well. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and stir only until the dry ingredients are just moist.
- 3. Fill the batter into the greased cups of the muffin tin. Sprinkle each muffin with one teaspoon of grated cheese and bake them in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Let the muffins rest in the tin for 5 minutes, then remove them and serve warm.
