🍽️ Crispy Lamb Meatball Skewers with Yogurt

Ingredients
- 2 slices white bread (from the day before)
- 2 onions
- 2 tbsp parsley
- 2 tbsp butter
- 500 g minced lamb meat
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp paprika powder (sweet)
- 0.25 tsp cinnamon powder
- 0.25 tsp cumin powder
- 0.25 tsp clove powder
- 0.5 tsp thyme
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- ghee (for frying)
- 300 g yogurt
- 16 skewers
Instructions
- 1. Soak the bread in a little water.
- 2. Peel the onions and dice them into very small cubes.
- 3. Heat the butter in a pan and sauté the onions in it.
- 4. Squeeze the soaked bread well so that no water remains.
- 5. Wash the parsley, chop it finely, and set it aside.
- 6. Add the squeezed bread, the sautéed onions, and the parsley to the lamb mince in a large bowl.
- 7. Add the egg and your chosen spices.
- 8. Knead the mixture well with your hands until everything is combined.
- 9. Shape the meat mixture into 16 small, elongated rolls.
- 10. Heat oil or lard in a large pan.
- 11. Fry the meat rolls in the hot fat for about 10 minutes until golden brown all over.
- 12. Thread the finished meat rolls onto wooden or metal skewers.
- 13. Serve the skewers hot together with the yogurt.
