🍽️ Hearty Lamb and Potato Casserole

Ingredients
- 500 g lamb meat
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 200 g celeriac (1 piece)
- 1 stalk leek
- 600 g potatoes
- 5 g butter (1 tsp)
- dried marjoram
- sea salt
- pepper
- 750 ml meat broth
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the meat under cold water and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
- 2. Cut the meat into small cubes.
- 3. Peel the onion and dice it finely.
- 4. Peel the carrots and slice them.
- 5. Peel the celery and cut it into cubes.
- 6. Wash the leek, remove the tough ends, and slice it into rings.
- 7. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly.
- 8. Grease a casserole dish with a lid using butter.
- 9. Arrange half of the potato slices in the dish.
- 10. Season the potatoes with marjoram, salt, and pepper.
- 11. Distribute the meat and the prepared vegetables evenly on top.
- 12. Cover everything with the remaining potato slices.
- 13. Season the top layer again with salt and pepper.
- 14. Pour the broth over the casserole.
- 15. Place the lid on the dish.
- 16. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (180 °C for fan-assisted or gas mark 3).
- 17. Bake the casserole in the oven for about 1 hour.
- 18. Remove the lid.
- 19. Bake the casserole for another 20 to 30 minutes without the lid.
