Ingredients
- 500 g okra pods
- 1 onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 600 g chopped tomatoes (can)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 pinch cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the okra pods thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Peel the onion and the garlic clove.
- 3. Finely chop the onion and the garlic.
- 4. Heat some oil in a pot.
- 5. Sauté the onions and garlic in the hot oil until they become translucent.
- 6. Add the washed okra pods to the pot.
- 7. Sauté the okra pods briefly.
- 8. Pour the tomatoes over the vegetables.
- 9. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and a pinch of cinnamon.
- 10. Simmer the sauce over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes.
- 11. Taste the sauce again and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- 12. Fill the finished sauce into small bowls.
- 13. Serve the sauce warm.
