🍳 Autumn Pumpkin Jam

Ingredients
- 1 pumpkin (approx. 1,3 kg)
- 300 ml orange juice
- 200 g kumquat
- 1 kg jam sugar (1:1)
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. Cut the pumpkin in half.
- 2. Remove the seeds and fibrous strands from the inside.
- 3. Peel the firm flesh completely.
- 4. Cut the flesh into small cubes.
- 5. Weigh out about 800 grams of cubed pumpkin flesh.
- 6. Place the pumpkin cubes and orange juice in a large pot.
- 7. Place the pot over medium heat.
- 8. Place the lid on the pot.
- 9. Cook the pumpkin for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- 10. Check if the pumpkin flesh is soft.
- 11. Pour hot water over the kumquats briefly.
- 12. Slice the kumquats into thin rounds.
- 13. Add the kumquats to the pumpkin after 5 minutes of cooking.
- 14. Puree the entire mixture until smooth.
- 15. Stir the sugar and cinnamon into the pumpkin mixture.
- 16. Boil the mixture for about 4 minutes until bubbling.
- 17. Stir constantly while boiling.
- 18. Perform a setting test to check the firmness.
- 19. Fill the hot jam into prepared jars to the brim.
- 20. Seal the jars tightly.
- 21. Turn the jars upside down for about 10 minutes.
- 22. Turn the jars right side up again.
- 23. Decorate the jars as you like with cinnamon, Christmas baubles, and velvet ribbons.
