🍳 Crunchy Pumpkin Seed Quark Dip

Ingredients
- 40 g pumpkin seeds
- 1 clove garlic
- 0.5 bunch chives
- 200 g low-fat quark
- 1 tbsp pumpkin seed oil (preferably from Styria)
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Heat a non-stick pan on the stove without adding any oil or butter.
- 2. Add the pumpkin seeds to the hot pan.
- 3. Stir the seeds constantly until they smell nutty and some of them start to pop open.
- 4. Remove the pan from the heat and pour the seeds onto a plate.
- 5. Let the seeds cool down completely.
- 6. Take about one quarter of the cooled seeds and set them aside for garnishing later.
- 7. Finely chop the remaining seeds.
- 8. Peel the garlic clove.
- 9. Finely chop the garlic as well.
- 10. Wash the chives thoroughly.
- 11. Shake the chives dry to remove excess water.
- 12. Cut the chives into small rings.
- 13. Place the quark into a large mixing bowl.
- 14. Add the chopped pumpkin seeds, chopped garlic, and chive rings to the quark.
- 15. Add the pumpkin seed oil.
- 16. Mix all ingredients thoroughly together.
- 17. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- 18. Serve the quark dip on whole grain bread.
- 19. Garnish the dip with the whole pumpkin seeds you set aside earlier.
- 20. Alternatively, you can serve the dip with boiled potatoes.
