🍽️ Autumn Jam with Pumpkin and Apple

Ingredients
- 1 kg peeled, seeded pumpkin flesh
- 2 untreated lemons
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tbsp chopped ginger
- 1 kg apples
- 1 kg jam sugar
Instructions
- 1. Prepare a large pot.
- 2. Cut the pumpkin flesh into small cubes.
- 3. Peel the apples.
- 4. Cut the apples into quarters.
- 5. Remove the core from the apple quarters.
- 6. Dice the cored apple quarters.
- 7. Finely grate the lemon zest.
- 8. Squeeze the juice from the lemons.
- 9. Mix the pumpkin flesh with the lemon juice and zest.
- 10. Add the spices to the pumpkin mixture.
- 11. Place the spiced pumpkin mixture into the large pot.
- 12. Cook the pumpkin for about 8 minutes until it is almost soft.
- 13. Stir the apple cubes into the soft pumpkin mixture.
- 14. Add the pectin sugar.
- 15. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 16. Continue to cook the jam for about 5 minutes.
- 17. Remove the cinnamon sticks from the jam.
- 18. Rinse Twist-Off jars with hot water.
- 19. Fill the hot jam immediately into the hot jars.
- 20. Seal the jars airtight.
- 21. Store the jam for up to 4 months.
