  1. 1. Rinse the figs under running water.
  2. 2. Cut each fig in half lengthwise.
  3. 3. Grease the baking pan lightly with butter.
  4. 4. Place the puff pastry into the pan.
  5. 5. Press the dough so that it covers the bottom completely.
  6. 6. Pull the dough edge up to the top rim of the pan.
  7. 7. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan setting.
  8. 8. Put the almonds, eggs, cream, and sugar into a bowl.
  9. 9. Whisk the ingredients until you have a smooth mixture.
  10. 10. Spread the mixture evenly over the puff pastry base.
  11. 11. Place the figs on the mixture with the cut side facing up.
  12. 12. Bake the tart for about 35 minutes in the oven.
  13. 13. Check the doneness with a wooden skewer.
  14. 14. Remove the tart from the oven when the filling is set.
