🍽️ Crunchy Krokant Stars

Ingredients
- 80 g cold butter
- 100 g sugar
- 250 g flour
- 1 egg
- 0.5 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp grated orange peel
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- orange marmalade
- white coating chocolate
- hazelnut caramel
Instructions
- 1. Quickly knead all dough ingredients into a smooth ball.
- 2. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 3. Wrap the dough ball tightly in cling film.
- 4. Place the foil in the fridge for 1 hour.
- 5. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
- 6. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to a thickness of 3 to 4 millimeters.
- 7. Cut star shapes out of the dough.
- 8. Place the stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 9. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 10. Bake the stars in the preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes.
- 11. Remove the tray from the oven.
- 12. Let the stars cool down completely on the tray.
- 13. Chop the chocolate couverture into small pieces.
- 14. Melt the chocolate pieces in a bain-marie (water bath).
- 15. Brush the bottom of half of the cooled stars with the melted chocolate.
- 16. Generously sprinkle the brushed stars with crunchy caramelized sugar (krokant).
- 17. Spread some orange marmalade on the remaining stars.
- 18. Press the marmalade side onto the chocolate side of the krokant stars to form pairs.
