  1. 1. Quickly knead all dough ingredients into a smooth ball.
  2. 2. Shape the dough into a ball.
  3. 3. Wrap the dough ball tightly in cling film.
  4. 4. Place the foil in the fridge for 1 hour.
  5. 5. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
  6. 6. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to a thickness of 3 to 4 millimeters.
  7. 7. Cut star shapes out of the dough.
  8. 8. Place the stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  9. 9. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  10. 10. Bake the stars in the preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes.
  11. 11. Remove the tray from the oven.
  12. 12. Let the stars cool down completely on the tray.
  13. 13. Chop the chocolate couverture into small pieces.
  14. 14. Melt the chocolate pieces in a bain-marie (water bath).
  15. 15. Brush the bottom of half of the cooled stars with the melted chocolate.
  16. 16. Generously sprinkle the brushed stars with crunchy caramelized sugar (krokant).
  17. 17. Spread some orange marmalade on the remaining stars.
  18. 18. Press the marmalade side onto the chocolate side of the krokant stars to form pairs.
