  1. 1. Remove the outer leaves from the white cabbage.
  2. 2. Wash the cabbage and cut it into four quarters.
  3. 3. Cut out the hard core in the center in a wedge shape.
  4. 4. Slice the cabbage into thin strips using a vegetable peeler or knife.
  5. 5. Peel the onion and chop it finely.
  6. 6. Cut the bacon into small cubes.
  7. 7. Fry the bacon cubes in a pan over medium heat for about 6 minutes until golden brown.
  8. 8. Remove the bacon from the pan and set it aside.
  9. 9. Sauté the chopped onions in the remaining fat in the same pan.
  10. 10. Add the cumin, vinegar, and poultry stock to the onions.
  11. 11. Bring the mixture to a brief boil.
  12. 12. Pour the hot liquid over the sliced white cabbage.
  13. 13. Mix everything thoroughly.
  14. 14. Let the salad marinate for 1 hour.
  15. 15. Mix the finished salad with a little oil and the previously fried bacon cubes.
  16. 16. Fill the cabbage salad into small bowls.
  17. 17. Serve the salad immediately.
