🍽️ Homemade Herb Oil

Ingredients
- 100 g mixed herbs (e.g. rosemary, thyme, basil, lemon balm, dill, parsley)
- 2 dried chili peppers
- 2 garlic cloves
- 300 ml sunflower oil
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the fresh herbs under running water.
- 2. Remove any wilted or inedible leaves.
- 3. Gently pat the herbs dry with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Pluck the leaves off the stems.
- 5. Roughly chop the herbs with a knife.
- 6. Place the chopped herbs into a clean, prepared jar.
- 7. Add the chili peppers to the jar.
- 8. Add the peeled garlic cloves.
- 9. Pour the oil over the ingredients in the jar.
- 10. Seal the jar tightly.
- 11. Let the oil infuse for about one week in a cool, dark place.
- 12. Strain the finished oil through a fine sieve.
- 13. Transfer the oil into a clean bottle or jar.
- 14. Use the oil within about four weeks.
