  1. 1. Take the butter and put it into a mixing bowl.
  2. 2. Wash the parsley and dill under running water.
  3. 3. Shake the herbs dry so that no water remains on them.
  4. 4. Chop the parsley and dill very finely.
  5. 5. Carefully pluck the leaves of the lemon verbena from the stems.
  6. 6. Chop the lemon verbena finely as well.
  7. 7. Add the chopped herbs to the butter in the bowl.
  8. 8. Squeeze in the lemon juice.
  9. 9. Grate some lemon zest over the mixture.
  10. 10. Salt the butter to taste.
  11. 11. Pepper the butter with some black pepper.
  12. 12. Mix everything well until the butter is creamy and uniform.
  13. 13. Put the finished herb butter into a small dish.
  14. 14. Place the butter in the refrigerator to let it get cold.
